If we look back to the great men of the past, we find that they all had one quality in common…"PERSEVERANCE'. We too can reach our goals by the same!

Write down. This is the best way to keep yourself on the track. When you see you have been going to the gym for long, you tend to feel proud of yourself and tend to continue with it. Gaps would not feel good.

My friend had thyroid and was putting on weight. She joined a gym but for three months not even half a pound reduced. But she persisted and by the end of year she had reduced what she had aimed for.

Well, my way of work out is completely different. I am always with my iPod whenever it’s time to go to the gym. My room has a lot of inspiring pictures wherein I have pasted some real good pictures of those who have a very attractive figure. This is how I remain motivated. Also to some extent it even depends on my diet. Some times I just cannot control eating from out and sometimes I am only to be seen on healthy and nutritious food.

I agree with Bijo. If done out of compulsion then you may try to run away from it. My wife compelled me to join a gym and the initial days were real troublesome. However, after a few days I began feeling good about it and continued. But the same may not happen to all. It is all in your own hands.

"Make sure that you sleep well for good hours so as to give some time for your body to relax. Endurance will lead to an increase in the level of stamina as days pass by. Keep challenging yourself for every task you take up. Trust yourself and make sure that you complete all the workouts without skipping any of them. Slowly you will realize that you have comparatively become more energetic and your body turning into a good shape.

I loved the post. I have a gym near my place and everyday I would see fat people entering it. I saw a few of them quite shaped up after an year or so. They endured and gave themselves a new look and better life.

I endured and got in shape. Had to take care of my diet too, but once I shed a few pounds I got motivated enough and continued with much more enthusiasm.

One can endure when he wants to. No one can force you to persist if your heart does not want tp. Ask yourself what do you want to be, a survivor or loser? If you have the loser attitude then you would give yourself many reasons to quit the gym. The choice is all yours.

Yes, the stamina increases with time. It would be foolish to expect any heroic workout on your first day at the gym. Be practical and wise. It is not fruitful to begin with too much of enthusiasm and then drain out after a few days.
